Media and Content Placement Policy

Version 1.0·Effective July 22, 2026

This Media and Content Placement Policy (this “Policy”) describes how PathwayIQ, a service provided by UniShift LLC (“PathwayIQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), facilitates access to third-party publishing and content placement services through our platform. This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, the PathwayIQ Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

By using any feature that connects you to a third-party publishing or content placement service through PathwayIQ, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

1. Overview and Purpose

Certain PathwayIQ features help you address specific documentation gaps identified during your profile evaluation. Two common gaps involve evidence of published material about you and evidence of authored content in professional or trade publications. To help you act on these gaps, PathwayIQ offers in-platform connections to independent, third-party service providers that specialize in content creation, editorial development, and placement in external media outlets.

PathwayIQ is a technology platform. We do not own, operate, publish, or control any external media outlet, publication, or editorial process. We do not employ editors, journalists, or publishers. The third-party providers we connect you with operate their own businesses, run their own editorial workflows, and maintain their own relationships with the media outlets that ultimately decide whether and when to publish content.

2. Categories of Third-Party Services

PathwayIQ may connect you with two general categories of third-party providers. The specific providers available, the outlets they work with, the services they offer, and their fees are subject to change and are presented to you within the platform at the time of use.

2.1 Editorial Placement Services

These providers operate as marketplaces or facilitators that arrange for editorial coverage about you in external online publications. They typically offer a range of drafting options, which may include provider-written editorial content, content you submit yourself, or content prepared with AI assistance where the provider accepts such submissions. Placement is generally subject to the editorial standards, compliance requirements, and internal review processes of both the provider and the destination publication.

2.2 Bylined Article and Professional Writing Services

These providers develop bylined articles, thought-leadership content, and related professional writing for placement in trade, industry, and professional publications. They typically work through direct relationships with editors and may require a structured intake process, including interviews and substantive author input. Some providers in this category do not accept AI-generated or externally drafted content and will produce content in-house based on information you provide. Placement is generally subject to the provider's editorial workflow and the destination publication's acceptance criteria.

The provider you are connected with will disclose its own process, timelines, pricing, drafting rules, and terms directly to you before you engage with its service.

3. Our Role and What We Do Not Control

PathwayIQ acts solely as a facilitator. Our role is limited to the following:

  • Identifying, based on your evaluation, that a particular documentation category may benefit from professional content or placement services.
  • Presenting options from one or more third-party providers we have chosen to make available through the platform.
  • In some cases, generating a structured informational brief from data you have provided to PathwayIQ, to help the third-party provider understand your background. You review and approve this brief before it is shared.
  • Transmitting your brief and other information you have authorized to the third-party provider with your explicit consent.
  • Where supported, displaying status updates reported back by the third-party provider.

PathwayIQ does not and cannot control any of the following:

  • Timelines. We do not set, influence, expedite, or guarantee the turnaround time of any third-party provider, any intermediate step in their workflow (including drafting, revisions, compliance review, or editor outreach), or any media outlet's decision to review, accept, schedule, publish, or decline content. Timelines vary by provider and by outlet. Published estimates are forward-looking and are not commitments by PathwayIQ.
  • Editorial decisions. Media outlets retain full editorial discretion. An outlet may revise, shorten, edit, restructure, retitle, or reject any content at any stage. A provider may also determine, in its own judgment, that content does not meet the provider's standards or a specific outlet's guidelines. PathwayIQ has no authority over these decisions.
  • Outlet selection and acceptance. The availability of any specific outlet, the final outlet at which content is placed, and whether any outlet ultimately accepts content are determined by the third-party provider and the outlets themselves, not by PathwayIQ.
  • Content quality and originality after delivery. Once a draft or final piece is delivered to you or transmitted to the provider, responsibility for review, fact-checking, and final approval rests with you and the provider, as set out in the provider's own terms.
  • Persistence of published content. We do not guarantee that any placed content will remain live, indexed, or accessible at any given URL for any specific period. Outlets may modify, relocate, or remove content at their discretion.
  • Outcomes. The placement of content through a third-party provider is not, and should not be relied upon as, a prediction or guarantee of any outcome in any legal, immigration, professional, or business matter.

4. Drafting, AI-Assisted Content, and Your Responsibility

Some third-party providers accept drafts that have been prepared with AI assistance. Others require content to be created entirely by the provider's human editorial team and do not accept AI-generated or externally drafted material. PathwayIQ will only offer AI-assisted drafting where the receiving provider has agreed to accept such submissions. Where AI-assisted drafting is available, you remain responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving the draft before it is submitted.

You acknowledge the following regarding any AI-assisted draft produced through PathwayIQ:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and may in rare cases reflect material similar to third-party works.
  • You are solely responsible for verifying factual accuracy, confirming that statements about you, your work, and third parties are true and supportable, and ensuring that the content does not infringe any third-party rights.
  • The third-party provider and the destination outlet may require disclosure, revision, or replacement of AI-assisted content. Compliance with such requirements is a matter between you and the provider or outlet.
  • The provisions of the PathwayIQ Terms of Service regarding AI output, including Sections 2.1, 2.2, and 5.5, continue to apply.

Any transmission of your personal information, documents, or evaluation data from PathwayIQ to a third-party provider occurs only after you have explicitly consented within the platform, or select to provide such data yourself. Before consent, you will be shown what information is proposed to be shared. You may decline, or you may edit the brief to remove or modify information you do not want shared.

Once information is transmitted to a third-party provider, that provider's own privacy policy, terms, and data handling practices govern the subsequent use, retention, and disclosure of that information. PathwayIQ is not responsible for the data practices of the third-party provider or the destination outlet. You are encouraged to review the privacy policy of any provider before consenting to a transmission.

6. Fees, Payment, and Refunds

6.1 How Fees Are Presented

Fees for third-party publishing services are set by the third-party provider and, where applicable, by the destination outlet. Fees may be collected by PathwayIQ on behalf of the provider, billed to you directly by the provider, or a combination of the two. In each case, the platform will disclose the structure at the point of purchase. Fees are stated in United States dollars unless otherwise noted.

6.2 Platform Facilitation Charges

In some cases, PathwayIQ charges a separate facilitation or drafting fee in connection with connecting you to a third-party provider. Where this occurs, the facilitation charge is disclosed at the point of purchase and is distinct from fees charged by the third-party provider. Facilitation charges compensate PathwayIQ for platform services, including brief generation, AI drafting where applicable, review tooling, transmission, and status tracking, and are not payment for any legal, editorial, or placement service.

6.3 Refunds

Refund eligibility for amounts paid to a third-party provider is governed exclusively by that provider's refund policy, as in effect at the time of your engagement. Refund requests relating to drafting, editorial work, compliance review, outlet submission, or publication must be directed to the third-party provider in accordance with its policy. PathwayIQ does not review, adjudicate, or override a provider's refund determinations.

Refund eligibility for PathwayIQ subscription fees and platform facilitation charges is governed by the PathwayIQ Terms of Service and, where applicable, any additional terms disclosed at purchase.

6.4 Chargebacks

You agree to contact PathwayIQ or the applicable third-party provider before initiating a payment-card chargeback in connection with a publishing engagement. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in suspension of your access to publishing features.

7. Your Responsibilities

When you use PathwayIQ to connect to any third-party publishing service, you represent, warrant, and agree to the following:

  • You have all necessary rights and permissions to share the information, documents, credentials, and professional history you submit to PathwayIQ and authorize for transmission to a third-party provider.
  • The information you submit is accurate, current, and not misleading. You will promptly correct any inaccuracies.
  • You will review all drafts and briefs before approving submission, and you accept final responsibility for the content submitted on your behalf.
  • You will comply with any reasonable employer, professional, or regulatory requirements applicable to your publication of external content, including disclosure, review, and byline rules. PathwayIQ is not responsible for any conflict between your use of a publishing service and obligations owed to an employer or professional body.
  • You will directly comply with, and be bound by, the terms and policies of any third-party provider you engage through PathwayIQ.
  • You will not use publishing features to create or attempt to place content that is false, defamatory, infringing, unlawful, or intended to mislead any audience, regulator, or adjudicator.

Content prepared or placed through third-party publishing services is not legal advice, professional advice, or representation. The availability of such services through PathwayIQ does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing in this Policy modifies the disclaimers set out in Section 1 of the PathwayIQ Terms of Service. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified professional and/or legal counsel before making decisions based on, or in reliance on, any content created or placed through a third-party provider.

9. Relationship Disclosure

PathwayIQ may receive compensation from third-party providers in connection with your use of their services, including volume-based discounts, bundled pricing margins, referral arrangements, or similar compensation. The presence or absence of such compensation does not alter our obligation to describe the service accurately, and does not cause any third-party provider to become an agent, partner, joint venturer, employee, or affiliate of PathwayIQ. Each third-party provider operates independently and is solely responsible for its own services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PathwayIQ is not liable for any act, omission, delay, error, defect, breach, rejection, removal, revision, or other conduct of any third-party provider, any destination outlet, or any third party involved in the creation, review, editing, submission, or publication of content. This includes any consequential, incidental, special, or indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, publishing features, regardless of legal theory.

The limitations of liability and disclaimers of warranty set out in Sections 8 and 9 of the PathwayIQ Terms of Service apply in full to your use of publishing features and to this Policy, and are incorporated here by reference.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, notify you through the platform or by email. Your continued use of publishing features after the updated Policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.

12. Contact

Questions about this Policy, including how a specific third-party provider is presented within the platform, may be sent to support@thepathwayiq.ai. Questions about a specific provider's services, timelines, drafts, or refunds should be sent directly to that provider in accordance with the instructions provided at the time of your engagement.
